BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU (WITH TRADITIONAL GI)

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a Martial Art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting to control and resist your opponent. Developed in Brazil, BJJ is widely recognised as the most effective form of ground fighting and is the choice of skill used for MMA fighters. Our Black Belt coaches Aleksandar Jovanovic & Shen Lam, along with Brown Belt Adam Russo teach our BJJ classes in the Gi format with our students wearing traditional uniform in a full grading belt system.

All our BJJ coaches are also highly experienced stand up strikers in Muay Thai, Boxing, Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu. This gives a great understanding of the transition from stand up to ground training.

At Ironfist in Brisbane, we have Beginner Brazilian Ju Jitsu Programs with dedicated trainers to take you through your first few weeks to get an idea of how the classes run, learn techniques at your own pace and also have a careful guide to see you through the start of your journey. You don’t need a Gi to try your first class.
